Can you put the pandemic in a different perspective? Maybe one from the future when we’ll possibly be able to look at it with clearer vision…
I think, most of all, it is teaching us to appreciate being together. Loneliness is difficult. Social distancing is helping us appreciate being able to hug or just show slight affection with a subtle touch on another person’s shoulder.
Wearing masks is helping us appreciate seeing other people smile.
Overall, it’s teaching us to love deeper… which is the main lesson of life anyway.
Hardships are helping us appreciate that others go through tough times, too, so maybe as a collective we’ll be more compassionate of others.
We’re developing new levels of patience as life throws curveballs to navigate through with new forms of working, like zoom.
I’m hoping that once this is over, and it will be, we’ll appreciate the fun, simple life so much that it’ll be like the roaring 20’s (1920’s). We’ll accept each other more openly and be more willing to have real fun.
We’ll talk to strangers waiting in the same lines as us, we’ll make eye contact more openly, and we’ll value, respect, and try to understand each other more.
Hopefully the pandemic has helped many of us to learn to go inside of ourselves to become more closely in touch with the soul, the spirit, and the heart, deepening individual and collective levels of spirituality.
Hopefully having extra time is leading to taking more time to care about each other.
Some may have to relearn how to drive a car and how to navigate around town, too- lol, good luck! 🙂
